LAUC will sponsor four to six travel awards for recent LAUC members (5 years or less) to attend the 2013 LAUC Assembly at UCLA. This will offer a view of what occurs during the annual meeting of the association of UC Librarians. The Assembly will include a membership meeting with a business portion, a guest speaker, and an afternoon discussion by the delegates and members present regarding the document released by the UC Council of University Librarians (CoUL) entitled, University of California Libraries Systemwide Plans and Priorities, FY 2013-2016. LAUC will send comments to the CoUL compiled and distilled from individual campus division discussions and the discussion at the general assembly. Please consider applying to attend this important discussion which will contribute to the future landscape of UC librarianship.
Travel for four to six UC librarians will be funded and include the following support:

LAUC members interested in applying for this travel support should write a brief (50-150 word) statement of interest and send it by email to:

- Cost of roundtrip transportation to UCLA (airfare, train, automobile, carpool)
- Cost of roundtrip ground transport to the UCLA campus
- Cost of lunch at the Assembly
